1930's Vintage Pink Pillow
Cover
If you're looking for a great project to complete, you might want to
take a look at this vintage pillow cover. The cover is light pink
and is cut
in a domed shape. A lovely girl, with blond hair and a large pink
and blue floppy hat decorates the front of the pillow. Blue flowers
and a black boarder outlines the girl. Some of the straight
stitching has not been completed - easy stitches and easy to match
thread. This is a great piece to accent your boudoir! The pillow
case measures approximately 16" wide and 11 1/2" high.

Vintage Lace & Linen
Bedspread
This vintage bedspread is gorgeous! It is a very light ecru color
and is a combination of vertical panels of lace and an embossed
linen. Throughout the linen section there are 1 1/2" vertical strips
of plain ruched material. Three sides of the bedspread have a
delicate fringe which measures approximately 3" long. The
workmanship in this piece is incredible. There are some pulls in the
lace along the top edge and there is one small hole in the lace along
the top edge. Neither are a problem as they would be hidden behind
the pillows. The bedspread measures approximately 78" wide (without
fringe) and approximately 97" long.

1940's Vintage Crepe
Fabric
Lovely yardage of Vintage 1940's crepe fabric. During WWII crepe was
the
number one fabric to use on gowns and that is why so many 1940's
gowns have survived today. Silk, cotton, linen and wool were used for
the war effort and ladies were even given manuals of how to remake
their gowns
without the use of the 4 basic fabrics. This crape was never used in
any garment and has survived today to be used for another lovely
gown. The color is a soft burnt amber/brown and the yardage measures
approximately 4 yards, 17" in length and 20" wide. The fabric is in
excellent condition. The fabric is stamped with "Textile Workers
Union" and "Duplan Fabric" in a triangle of pale blue ink. No holes
or rips and no thread pulls.

Vintage Embroidered Silk
Pillow/Table
Cover
This lovely vintage piece could be used as a table cloth or as the
front of
a pillow cover. It is cream colored silk with a beautiful
embroidered floral design sewn around all four edges. I believe the
embroidery thread is also silk. The embroidered pattern measures
approximately 2" wide and the overall colors are golds, olive green
and yellows. Pinks, purples, blues and white embroidered flowers
accents the piece. Unfortunately, my photos on this piece did not
come out too good and the colors look washed out. This cloth has a
very soft look to it and would blend into almost any decor. The
piece measures approximately 20 1/2" by 20 1/2". I believe it to
date to the late 1800's or early 1900's as it was purchased from an
estate where most items were from that time period. The piece has
not been cleaned and does have some very faint marks. I don't think
it was ever used and other than the faint stains, it is almost
perfect.

Floral Vintage Embroidered Silk
Pillow/Table Cover
This lovely vintage piece could be used as a table cloth or as the
front of
a pillow cover. It is cream colored silk with a beautiful
embroidered floral design sewn around all four edges. I believe the
embroidery thread is also silk. The embroidered pattern has a
goldtone scalloped edging with small light blue tulips alternating
with pink embroidered dots around the outer edge of the scallop. A
floral design done in pinks, yellow, light blue, lavendar, and green
decorate the inner portion of the scallop. Small orange tulips add a
nice contast to the pastel colors used in the flowers. An open
stitch or seam borders the piece on the outside of the the design.
The embroidery on the back is as lovely as the front. The piece
measures approximately 20 1/2" by 20 1/2". I believe it to date to
the late 1800's or early 1900's as it was purchased from an estate
where most items were from that time period. The piece has not been
cleaned and does have some very faint water(?) marks. I don't think
it was ever used and other than the faint stains, it is almost
perfect.
