Vintage Velvet/Lace/Bead Jabot -
Bib
Collar
This wonderful vintage collar or jabot is from the Victorian era and
came
from an estate where most items dated to the 1880/1890's. The collar
is high and done in a deep purple velvet. It is decorated with
beaded circular drops. Each drop is made up of small faux pearls
with a round black bead on the end. The collar wraps around and
should hook in the front (hook/eyes missing) The front of the collar
is wide at the top and tapers to a point at the bottom. A light blue
silk overlays the purple velvet. Ecru colored lace sits on top of
the silk. The lace is gathered and poofed and is accented with
beadwork which matches the neckline. Lace is also attached to the
underside of the pointed bottom and is vertically pleated. The back
of the collar is lined with a stiff buckrum(?). The collar measures
approximately 15" around the neck and 20" long (not counting the high
neckline). It is in very good condition; however there are some
beaded drops missing; however they do not form a pattern, so they
could be rearranged. The velvet is in very good condition but the
blue silk does have two very small holes and some very slight age
discoloration.

Yellow Vintage Crochet Pin
Cushion
This pretty vintage pin cushion is a light lemon color. It is done
in a
heart shape and has an ecru crochet overlay. The front is also edged
with ribbon edging. A ribbon bow also adorns the top. The entire
edge of the pin cushion is also done in a crocheted edging - ecru
colored with a yellow edge. The pin cushion measures approximately
7" long and 5" wide.

Vintage Glazed
Thimble
Cute little vintage pottery/porcelain thimble. The thimble is
decorated
with a yellow and orange tulip and green leaves. There is some wear
on the design (looks painted, but can't tell for sure). The thimble
looks like it was a favorite of someones and used a good deal. The
holes on the top do have wear. This is a great collector's item.

Vintage Alarm Clock Pin
Cushion
Pretty little vintage goldtone pin cushion reminding you to keep an
eye on
the time! The pin cushion is shaped like a clock with a bell on the
top. The actual pin cushion is a light green in color. The pin
cushion sets on 4 little goldtone legs and is marked, "SF" on the
bottom. Measures approximately 4" tall and 3" wide. Condition is
very good, however, it is evident that the pin cushion has been used.

Vintage Beaded Yoke and
Cuffs
Stunning, vintage heavily encrusted seed pearls and rhinestone
appliqué set.
I was told by the lady who owned these pieces that her grandmother
hand made them as well as other intricate pieces of beadwork. The
yoke piece probably went on the back of the dress. The silk
background is a very pale champagne color and edged with black
velvet. Tiny rhinestones adorn the pieces. The cuffs are
embellished to match the yoke piece. Circa 1912-1916

Victorian Bead & Lace
Collar
This collar is beautiful. Unfortunately, my photos cannot capture
the true beauty and delicate color of the beading. I have used
several photos, so please be sure to see the close-up views of the
beading. The collar is black; however, my photos have been lightened
to show detail, so the collar may look faded or discolored - this is
the photo only. The collar is large and has a combination
square/triangular look to it. The neckline is rounded and edged with
beading. A ecru colored lace band encircles the neckline and this
band is decorated with small pastel colored flowers. Two additional
bands of lace accent the collar. These bands form a "V" in the front
and back. The black material between the bands of lace is also
heavily decorated with small colored sequins and metal pieces
(similar to an upside down flower). The lower edge of the collar is
edged with wide black lace. A zigzag row of beading accents the seam
where the lace begins, as well as the front closure and neckline.
The lace is edged with gold colored trim and accented with the flower
beads and sequins. The inside of the color is lined with brown
polished cotton. The collar is in good condition, but there are some
missing beads. It is wearable with care (due to beading) and would
be a wonderful addition to a collection. This piece came from a
weathy Pennsylvania estate.

Vintage Buttons
Five (5) cards of vintage buttons, circa 1950's. All cards are marked
"Unusual Value in Fashion Buttons" Back of cards are stamped,
"Buttons Imported from England, Mounted in Haiti." Cards contain - 8
faceted black buttons 1/2" diameter; 6 flat green/gray buttons 3/4"
diameter; 8 green marbalized buttons just under 1/2" diameter; 8
light blue buttons 1/2" diameter; and 3 green marbled buttons 1 1/4"
diameter.
