Here Come The Brides . . .
Chanity is wearing an ensemble from the turn of the centry (VE627). It consists of a bodice and skirt. The bodice has a boned inner lining and is an ivory colored silk/satin. The bodice fastens with hook/eye at the center front and also ends in a point center front. The neckline is also cut in a "V" and has a beautiful yoke which is decorated and slightly ruched. A large shawl style collar wraps all around the bodice and attaches with a satin bow at the side of the neckline. The collar is edged with a very delicate lace. The sleeves are long with vertical pleating on the outer arm. These outer sleeves are 3/4 length with lovely, full inner sleeves extending to the wrist. The inner sleeves match the shawl collar and are also edged with the same delicate lace. The matching skirt features groups of vertical pleating from the waistline to the 14" bottom pleated ruffle. The bottom of the skirt has 2 rows of small ruched trim. An additional row of delicate lace is attached where the ruffle joins the skirt. A ruffled underslip is also attached to the skirt and ends with a velvet hem protector.

Vivian looks lovely in this 1950's Chantilly lace gown. The bodice of the gown is fitted and has a lining through the bodice; however the neckline and long, straight sleeves are lace only. The neckline is square with the lace scallop around the entire neckline. There is some sequin decoration right below the neckline. The long sleeves form a point over the wrist. The bodice ends in a point at the center front. The skirt is full and also lined. The hemline is also scalloped. The back bodice is also fitted and extends below the hipline where it is rounded and the skirt falls from this point - very unique and figure flattering. The skirt ends in a beautiful long train.
Janice ends our wedding parade with a cream colored gown from the 1960's! This gown is reminiscent of the Jackie Kennedy's era. The gown is accented with a heavy lace overlay which decorates the neckline and runs vertically down the front of the gown. The gown features a boat neckline. The gown is cut straight with one center front pleat beginning below the bodice and continuing to the hemline. Each side of the pleat is decorated with 3" wide lace. A cream colored bow accents the beginning of the pleat. The sleeves are long and straight and come to a point over the hand. They have a 6 button closure on each sleeve. The back of the gown is decorated only with buttons, which hid a metal zipper. The gown is fully lined. The neck label reads, "Bridal Originals".
