Native American Vintage
Leather/Bead
Purse
What a great vintage purse! This purse was part of a wealthy northern
estate. The father traveled a great deal and brought his wife and
daughters a little present from each of his trips - this purse is an
example of one of his gifts. The purse measures 5" wide and 8" long.
The dark brown pouch features 15" long leather thong straps and 3"
long beaded fringe in dark blue and white. The bead work design (on
the front only) consists of a ½" boarder of blue, white, and gold
beads. The sunburst symbol at the center is 2 ½" by 2 ½" and consists
of blue, white and gold beads. There are alternating blue and white
beads around the edge. The mouth of the purse is folded so the
opening goes from 3 3/4" to 7". The leather on the outside has a
velvet look and feel while inside is smooth and soft. The condition
is excellent.

Colorful Vintage Glass Bead
Purse
A truly wonderful vintage drawstring handbag created with a
combination of
rose, lavendar, green and goldtone beads. The handbag measures
approximately 15" from the tip of the strap to the end of the bag.
The bag itself measures approximately 5" at the mouth to 6" at the
widest and 7" long. The hand strap measures 5/8" wide and 14" long.
The strap is attached to the mouth of the bag at both sides. The
inside of the bag and underside of the strap is fully lined in a rose
colored material. There is a small pocket inside the bag which holds
a round mirror that is attached/sewn into the lining. The beadwork is
very well done, with the same pattern on both sides. A tag inside
reads "Made In Belgium." There are three small areas with beading
problems which can be seen in the photos. Otherwise the handbag is
in good condition.

Black Suede/Leather
Vintage Purse
This black leather and suede vintage purse looks like new! It has a
cross
hatch design created by weaving strips of black suede and black
leather. The outer edges of the design is done in black suede. The
top and sides of the purse are a weave of black leather. The purse
has a top metal zipper with a silvertone chain and silvertone ball to
add ease in opening. The bottom is black leather. The purse opens
to reveal two side pockets - one holding a mirror (still in paper
wrapping) and the other holds a small snap front change purse. The
mirror is double sided and in good condition (some minor wear). The
small change purse is very soft and like new. The purse measures 8"
wide and 5 1/2" high.

Vintage French Seed Beaded
Bag
This lovely vintage purse is created from very tiny seed beads in a
soft
pearlized off white. The purse is beautifully decorated on both the
front and back. The front is decorated with a combination of
scrolling lines and embroidered/beaded flowers. The flowers are done
in very soft pastel colors - embroidered and beaded flowers. The
flowers are very light pinks and white, with each flower having a
soft yellow center. The top of bag is highly detailed with the same
designs and has a chained tear drop beaded clasp. The chain is a
simple snake chain. The purse is lined in soft white satin. The satin
has darkend with age. The purse is in very good condition, with no
missing beads. It measures approximately 9" long, at the widest
point, and 6" tall.

Circa 1920's Vintage Beaded
Purse
This vintage purse is typical of the 1920's style. It is a
drawstring purse
done in olive green crochet or knit with is beautifully decorated
with iridescent round beads. The top of the purse features six wide
loops which are beaded. A green braided runs through the loops,
creating a drawstring closure when held (braid may not be original to
the purse). Below the loops, a 1" horizontal beaded band runs around
the purse. Below the band begins four horizontal rows of scalloped
beading - this beading continues through the inside of the purse.
The bottom edge of the purse is further decorated with beaded looped
fringe. The purse is not lined and the beading is in wonderful
condition! Very minimal, if any, bead loss. The purse measures 5"
wide and 8" long (including fringe).

Vintage Cream Crochet Change
Purse
This cute little vintage purse measures 5" wide and 3 1/2" tall. I
would
say it is a change purse as it is constructed similar to a miser
purse. The purse has an envelope flap closure with a snap to hold it
in place. When opened, chain stitched strings pull from the top to
expand the purse. I think the second view of the purse will show it
better than I can explain it. The strings come up through the top of
the purse and tie to a ring. I believe this ring is meant to be a
finger ring. The purse is in very good condition, but does need
cleaning.

Goldtone Spun Vintage Plastic
Purse
This vintage purse is a real fashion statement! It is a clear
plastic which
has an overlay of goldtone spider webbing. In addition to the
webbing, it also has small goldtone squares scattered throughout.
The purse has a goldtone frame (some wear) and top snap closure. The
handle is a hard plastic which is filled with goldtone specks. The
purse measures approximately 9" wide (widest point) and 9" tall,
without the handle. Except for some wear on the frame, the purse is
in very good condition.

Vintage Fur/Leather Chatelain
Purse
Very unusual 7" by 6" brown fur vintage purse with silver frame,
chatelain
clip and chain with silver plate button safety hook. The safety hook
looks similar to a metal garter. I believe it hooked to a corset.
The interior of the purse is kid leather and has a small coin pocket
at the bottom. The frame is decorated with an applied floral design
featuring a small winged cherub at each end. Part of the frame
applique is missing. The frame clasp is in good condition. The clip
has the same floral design. The fur has some shedding, but is in good
condition on the front side. There is an area where the fur has worn
through on the backside. The inside leather is in good condition and
is well attached to the frame. The safety buttonhook shows wear.
Overall condition is good.
