1940's Style White-On-White Gown
Size 5/6 & 11/12

This gown is so simple, yet so elegant. The material is a beautiful cream floral design. The gown has a cross over bodice which creates a "V" neckline. The bodice is fitted and the sleeves are short and puffed. The gown has a fitted waistline with a small peplum which attaches to the waistline. A wide belt is included with the size 5/6; however the belt is missing on the size 11/12. The skirt is straight with a slit at the center back. The gown is new/old stock. The inside label reads, "Lola Berent for Superstition, Made in USA" "Dry Clean Only". This gown is available in Size 5/6 and Size 11/12. Measurements are as follows: Size 5/6 - bustline=33"; waistline=24"; length=55 1/2"; Size 11/12 - bustline=37"; waistline=29; length=56". The 11/12 does not have the matching belt, but the dress may be worn without the belt or a ribbon belt could be substituted (a pale pastel color would look lovely).

Colorful Lillie Rubin Gown

This beautiful designer gown by Lillie Rubin would not go unnoticed at your next gala event! The extraordinary fabric is a chiffon in beautiful, vibrant shades of purples, greens and golds. The entire gown is covered with what appears to be gold metallic snowflakes. The gown reminds me of New Orleans and would be perfect to ring in the new millennium in the Mardi Gras spirit. The gown is a timeless classic that will always remain stylish. It is fully lined, except for the sheer long sleeves. The bodice is fitted and the waistline is accented with an extremely wide belt done in the same fabric as the gown. The belt is backed with leather for added stability and has a three snap closure. This gown is a quality piece that will remain a favorite until the next millennium. Neck label reads, "Lillie Rubin". There is no size information, but gown measures: bustline=36; waistline=26; length (shoulder to hemline)=57". The gown is in very good condition.

LARGER SIZE!!!
Floor-Length Blue Beaded Vest

Add a splash of color to your wardrobe with this beautiful blue beaded vest! The vest is floor length and has a center front opening. There are no closures on the vest as it is meant to be worn over another garment. The vest is heavily decorated with white beading. A band of beading rims the neckline and continues down the front opening and encircles the lower portion of the vest. The beading does not go to the hemline of the vest, which will allow for some alteration to the length. The remaining beading is done in an overall swirling, vine-like pattern. The vest is a larger size and is displayed on a dress form which measures: bustline=42; waistline=34"; length=61". The vest is in very good condition, but it does need cleaning as it has been stored in a bridal warehouse for years. I noticed a few dusty smudges on the shoulder. The vest could also be combined with VWC226 (Pink Beaded Vest) and used in a wedding for the bridesmaids. The vest is pretty enough to be worn for any special occassion and the color is still vibrant and even.

Young Edwardian Embroidered Gown
Size 13, Size 11, Size 9 and Size 7

What a great summer treat! This white cotton gown is sweet to look at and so easy to wear! The gown has a rounded neckline with an encased elastic edge. The elastic allows the neckline to be worn off the shoulders. A large shawl collar encircles the bodice and is beautifully decorated with an embroidered floral design on the front. Vertical cutout strips and light blue ribbon accent the collar and the entire collar is edged in white eyelet trim. The floral designs are all done in goldtones, except for VWC057 and VWC061. VWC057 is decorated with a red/pink rose design and VWC061 is done in a blue floral design. The gown is sleeveless and has an empire waistline. A drawstring is used to adjust the under the bust waistline. The skirt is made from three horizontal panels, giving the skirt a tiered look. Blue and pink ribbon accents complete the skirt. The sizes are not true on these gowns. Please use the following measurements as a more precise guide. The gowns will actually fit a much larger size than marked. Following are approximate measurements: VWC057 (Size 9) - bustline=38"; waistline=32". VWC061 & VWC064 (Size 13) - bustline=42"; waistline=32". VWC062 (Size 7) - bustline=36"; waistline=30". VWC063 (Size 11) - bustline=40"; waistline=30". The gowns are all new/old stock and have never been worn.

GUNNE SAX Blue/White Sundress
Size 5, Size 7

Light blue cotton lawn and white lace trim keep you looking "cool as a cucumber!". This sundress would be perfect for a garden wedding (see our white wide brim floppy hats and veils or any other summer occassion. The sundress is simple in design, yet sooo flattering. The bodice of the dress is very fitted with a low neckline and small shoulder straps. The center front portion of the bodice is covered with a white lace overlay with lacing up the center front. The waistline drops to a "V" at the center front and is edged with narrow white satin ribbon. A material tie belt is attached to the side seams and ties in the back. The skirt has a bit a fullness and features a large ruffle, with a white lace accent, which falls to the hemline. The sundress has a center back zipper and is fully lined. The gown is new/old stock and still has the original Gunne Sax tag. This gown is available in Size 5 and Size 7. This gown is also availabe in pale pink, see Item VWC025. Measurements are as follows: Size 7 - bustline=30"; waistline=23"; length=55 1/2"; Size 5 - bustline=28"; waistline=22"; length=55".

GUNNE SAX Blue/White Cotton Lawn
Size 7 and Size 5

A pretty combination of blue and white keeps the gown a classic. The dress is light blue cotton and is fully lined. The dress has a square neckline with a gathered (elastic) center of white lace overlay. The lace continues through the bodice. The dress is cut in a princess style with a high waistline. Two vertical bands of white lace begin at the shoulder and continue through the front of the bodice to the waistline. White satin ribbons accent each side of the lace band. Stain ribbons also accent the waistline. The sleeves are long with a small cuff which buttons and is edged with a narrow white lace. A material tie belt is attached to the side seams and ties in the back. The dress has a center back zipper and is fully lined. A wide ruffle decorates the bottom portion of the skirt. The gown is new/old stock and still has the original Gunne Sax tag. This gown is available in Size 7 and Size 5. Size 7 measures approximately: bustline=32"; waistline=24"; shoulder to shoulder=11 1/2"; length=57". Size 5 measures approximately: bustline=30"; waistline=24; shoulder to shoulder=11"; length=55 1/2".

Black Taffeta Gown

While wearing this gown, you can imagine yourself gliding across the dance floor to the sounds of the orchestra playing "on the Beautiful, Blue Danube." The black taffeta skirt "swishes" as you waltz the night away to the magic of Strauss. This gown has the look of a Victorian gown from the 1890's - yet a bit of "naughtiness" from the 1980's has been added to the back that no conservative Victorian would ever wear! The gown has a high neckline. The neckline and the bodice of the gown are entirely covered in a metallic green, blue, gold and purple. The bodice almost has a tapestry look to it. The sleeves are a huge puff of black taffeta and quite dramatic with that 1890's flair! The back of the gown is the real eye catcher. It features a triangular area, which has been cutout - beginning at the neckline and continuing to just above the bra line. The gown has a slightly dropped waistline and gathered full skirt. The back of the skirt has a slight "bustle" effect, which is created with a double tier of taffeta. There is no size or label information on the gown, but measurements are: bustline=33"; waistline=27"; length (shoulder to hemline)=50 1/2". The gown is in very good condition.

Bob Mackie Cream/Gold Trim Dress

It's the 1999 holiday season and you're wearing a dress designed by "Bob Mackie"! This ivory colored gown feels as great as it looks. Never worn, this dress is a true designer's classic that will forever remain in style. Ivory in color, with long sleeves accented at the cuffs with silver and gold beading. In addition to the beading, the cuffs close with zippers. The waist is slightly dropped with a wide band which is also trimmed with silver and gold beading. Two long sashes appear to cascade from the waistband of the dress. These are also covered with the silver and gold beading. This is a wonderful cocktail dress which is very well made and elegant to wear! The neck label reads, "Bob Mackie Evening" "Shell: 75% Triacetate; 25% Polyester, Made in China, Size 10."
