1870's Velvet Baby
Bonnet
Perfect for any doll as an added finishing touch. This bonnet came
from an estate of a lady in her late 80's. She said that the bonnet
came from her grandmother's trunk and she believes that it might have
been her grandfather's. The top of the bonnet is constructed of a
deep rich burgandy velvet and the underside is lined with brushed
cotton and a silk ruffle. Simple muslin ties adorn the bonnet with
lace sewn at the bottom. There are small brown stains on each lace
piece, but this should clean up. The top of the bonnet is a small
half helmet shape and it has the look of what a little baby boy would
have worn at that time. The little silk ruffle is hand stitched to
the underside of the bonnet along with the brushed cotton lining.
This piece is darling and there are NO rips or tears or staining on
the velvet. Very good condition, except for the staining at the
bottom of the ties. This would look wonderful on an older doll.
Bonnet is for a newborn up to 3 monthes. Very good condition.

Two Circa 1920/1930's Silk Night
Caps
These beautiful nightcaps are from the 1920's and 1930's and being
sold as a set. The first cap is a pleated yellow silk cap, intended
for a small head size. It is trimmed in croched lace, and has a
darling yellow bow to accent the front. The second cap is a lovely
deep orange with a stunning croched top to accent your head. There
are a few small tears on each cap.

Special Jinnah
Cap
Lamb's wool hat looks so warm and cozy! The hat is made of grey
lamb's wool. The inside of the hat has a wide band which is marked,
"SPECIAL, Jinnah Cap, Made in Pakistan". A "Jinnah" cap is named for
Mohammed Ali, 1876-1948, Indian Moslem statesman and leader; first
Governor General of Pakastan (1947-1948). Very good condition.

1930's Floral Straw Hat
Lovely and dainty - tiny late 30's golden straw hat with purple
velvet bow on top back of hat. Purple flowers on long green stems
are attached to the back of the hat and hang down and dangle about 4"
below the brim. A very light-weight purple "spider web" veil
completes the look. There is a small area in the veil that is
separating but this can be reknotted by hand. American made. Labels
read, "New York - Evelynvaron".

Amish Style
Bonnet
This woman's Amish style bonnet is a great piece for the hat
collector. Simple in style, this all purpose hat is stark in
comparison to the Victorian woman's' hats of the
same period. This bonnet has a three inch ruffle around the bottom
and it
appears to be a combination of hand and machine sewing. Very sturdy,
but side ribbons need replacing as they are missing.

Circa 1920's Brown Straw
Hat
This darker brown hat is done in a cloche style. It has a 2 1/2"
brim which slopes downward and has a 1 1/2" wide grosgrain ribbon
which wraps around the hat and is decoratively attached on one side.
The hat is in very good condition. The hat is lined in cream colored
net and has a brown leather sweat band. There is a label depicting a
large eagle whcih reads "Extra Quality" between it's wings, but I
cannot read the upper portion of the label. Diameter measures
approximately 22".

1900's Black Straw Hat/Rust
Trim
Black straw is beautifully accented with rich rust colored trim. A
4" wide satin ribbon wraps around the hat and ends in nice, large bow
on the side. The brim is turned up at the edges and a rust colored
"straw" type strip surrounds the outer brim. The inside of the hat
is marked, "EFCo, Edgarton-Folsom Co., Willimantic, Conn." The hat
is in very nice condition.

1940's Vintage Straw Doll
Hat
This style hat is typical of the period and many war time movie
depict these lovely treasures. This darling vintage hat is of
tightly woven
strawlike material in a deep, rich black. Instead of a veil, there
is a large clustered metallic ribbon in multi-shades of blue, white,
red, black green, gray and yellow with gold metallic threads
throughout the ribbon. A strip of this ribbon runs along the folded
up wired brim and there is an elastic chin strap underneith. Hat is
not lined and there is no label.
