LARGER SIZE!!! Vintage 1900's
Grey/Black Duster
This vintage grey and black duster is great! It is a grey/black
tweed with
black trim. The duster has a black underbodice of cotton with a front
hook/eye closure and no boning. The actual duster also has a front
hook/eye closure which begins at the neckline and continues to the
mid thigh. The collar is a small, stand-up collar which is edged
with a small black, white and gray fabric trim. This trim also runs
in a vertical line down the center front - along the front opening.
There are two wide vertical pleats on each side of the front opening.
These begin at the shoulders and continue to the hemline. Each pleat
is accented with material trim. The sleeves are long and straight
(also lined). They wrist ends are trimmed with material. The back
of the duster is nicely detailed. It has four pleats down the center
back, beginning at the back neckline. The pleats are sewn in place a
little above the waistline, then fall free again to the hemline.
This gives added fullness to the back and is a wonderful touch! The
duster is in very good condition, but does have some light staining
(I have not tried to clean). There are a few very small holes which
are not really noticeable because of the tweed of the duster. There
is also some minor fraying to some of the material trim - again not
really noticeable unless you look for it. The duster is in very
sturdy condition and could be worn without a problem. The duster
will fit up to a 36" bustline and measures approximately 51" long
(shoulder to hemline).

1919 Vintage Black Wrap
Jacket
This beautiful vintage black wrap jacket dates to 1919. The jacket
features
a notched collar and center front opening. There are no fasteners,
except for a two self-material ties which are attached to the back of
the jacket and wrap around, crossing each other, to button on the
back side. A long fringed material panel is attached at the
waistland on both back sides of the jacket. These panels are
decoratively gathered (similar to smocking) at the top edge and
deeply fringed on the bottom edge. The belt buttons (beautiful
buttons) are sewn just above the gathering on each side. The bottom
of the jacket is weighted and the back hemline of the jacket has a
decorative gathering. There is a bit of discoloration on one of the
panels. The jacket has long, full sleeves and wide cuffs. Two (2)
large black buttons accent each cuff and decorative gathering
encircles the sleeve above the cuffs. The jacket is lined in a cream
colored lining and has small buttons sewn to the lining as if another
lining could be buttoned in. An inside label reads, "Fifth Avenue -
Schotz - Powers - N.Y. Company, Inc., 471 Fifth Ave. N.Y., Mrs. A. P.
Ruirth, Date 8/29/19 - No. 140. The jacket is in very good condtion
and wearable. It measures approximately: bustline=38"; shoulder to
shoulder width=14"; waistline=30" (adjustable with belt); and
length=27".

F. Carper Vintage Fur
Stole
This beautiful vintage fur stole is the perfect "topper" for any
formal
occasion. The stole features a turned collar which continues down
the center front opening - almost to the hemline. The "cuffed
sleeves" add to the fine detailing of this stole. The stole is fully
lined; however there is some staining on the lining in the back. I
have not cleaned the stole, so it may come out with cleaning. The
inside front of the lining has the initials, "ABV" (the B is larger
than the A and the V). The initials are sewn into the lining. Two
(2) inside pockets are nestled into the lining. A neck label to the
stole reads, "Furs By F. Carper, Erie, PA." The stole is in very
good condition except for the above mentioned staining of the lining.
The stole is displayed on a dress form with a 42" bustline, but would
fit comfortably on a smaller bust.

Circa 1830's-1860's (?) Purple
Print Cape W/Hood
This antique purple cotton print cape is a wonderful example of
early sewing
techniques and totally hand done. The actual cape is simple in
design with a tiny print on the outside (See Detail Views). The cape
falls to approximately ankle length and ties at the neckline with two
simple ties which are sewn to the inside lining of the cape. The
front portion of the cape (approximately 7") has no gathering, then
gauging begins and continues over the shoulders and through the back
(See Detail Views). This makes the back of the cape very full. A
matching hood is attached to the cape. It is very wide and begins at
the center front opening. The hood is attached to a horizontal band
which is attached to the cape. The back of the hood has vertical
pleats and folded gathers to create its shape in the back (See
Hood/Lining Views). The entire front portion of the hood
(approximately 7")is decorated with an attached band of material (7")
which has been horizontally gathered, leaving a very small ruffle at
the front edge of the hood - this is gorgeous! The workmanship on
this piece is beautiful! Unfortunately, my photos don't pick up the
detailing quite as well as I would like. The cape is lined with a
lavendar/purple/white printed material (See Hood/Lining Views). The
cape is in very good condition; however there are some small
scattered holes which do not detract because of the color and print.
There are also some very small dots of discoloration which are mainly
confined to the bottom of one side. Again, these are small and not
really noticeable. The upper portion of the cape and the hood is in
wonderful condition. This is a true collectors' delight.

Circa 1930's Vintage Cape/Fur
Neckline
What a great vintage cape! The cape is very lightweight and
unfortunately
the photos can't capture the design in the fabric. The cape is black
and has a horizontal striped design which is created with tiny
horizontal pleats. The bottom portion of the cape is made up of
wider pleats with an openwork design between each pleat. The collar
is fur - I'm not sure what kind, but it is a cream color. There is a
section of fur in the center back which is not long, I don't know if
this is wear or the way it was made. Either way, it does not detract
from the cape. There is a button at the neckline and one long tie
below the collar (the other tie is missing). Below the collar, the
material is gathered in the typical 1930's style. The cape is
slightly longer in the back than the front. It will fit up to a size
16 without a problem. Length measures approximately 49" long.

Art Deco Style Vintage Fur
Cape
This is such a fun vintage cape! It is a very dark brown/black fur
with a
wide collar (there is some wear to the fur around the edges of the
collar). The cape fits more like a jacket. It is fitted through the
shoulders and has a horizontal fur band which crosses the back of the
cape - from side seam to side seam. This band pulls the cape in and
creates the look of sleeves. The cape is held in place with two
black and gray striped buttons. These buttons have a very art deco
look to them and are a nice addition to the cape. The cape is fully
lined and has a label which reads, "Furs - Richlind Mfg. Co.,
Blissfield, Mich.". The cape is very small in size and would fit a
size 2 to 4 - maybe even a size 6 with small shoulders. The cape is
in very good condition; however there is some wear to the fur along
the collar and front edge.

LARGER SIZE!!! Circa 1860's
Yellow/Goldtone Cape
This wonderful antique cape comes from a Deleware estate. The cape
is done
in a goldtone color and is lined in dark brown. The color is not
yellow like the photo displays - it is a deep goldenrod color rather
than yellow. The neckline, front closure and hemline is edged with
5" trim of brown chenille fringe. The entire cape is hand sewn. The
center back hemline of the cape has two flaps which are nicely
decorated with the brown fringe. The cape is shaped with shoulder
and arm inserts, but the arms are open. There is a brown tie belt on
the inside of the cape to help hold it in place. The vintage cape
is in very
good condition, but it does have some minor staining and a few small
moth holes. The material is sturdy and the cape is wearable. It is
displayed on a dress form which measures: bustline=37";
waistline=29".

Vintage Fur
Stole
This vintage fur stole is so soft and cuddly! I don't know what
type of fur the stole is made from, but again, it is very soft. The
stole is a very dark brown color. There is some wear, but it just
adds to the vintage look. The stole is much longer in the front -
measuring approximately 27" long. The back of the stole measures
approximately 20" long. The collar is slightly rolled which adds to
the stole's overall look. The stile is fully lined with a black
floral lining. The stole is very wearable and adds just the right
touch for an evening out!
