Circa 1950's Sheer Black
Vintage Dress
This is the perfect summer vintage dress! It can be worn casual and
easily
dressed up for a night on the town. The dress is sleeveless with a
rounded neckline. It is a combination of cotton and sheer black
voile. The bodice is fitted with sheer voile shoulders and cotton
from the bustline to the waistline. The bustline begins with
scallops along the upper edge. The skirt is gathered at the
waistline with very small pleats. The skirt is also sheer and the
dress would definitely need to be worn with a slip. The dress has a
center back zipper closure which begins at approximately the bra
line. The back shoulders to the bra line is done in sheer voile.
There is a one button closure at the neckline. The back is open from
the neckline to the zipper. There are no labels in the dress.
Measurements: bustline=34"; waistline=25"-26"; shoulder to
shoulder=13 1/2"; skirt length (waistline to hemline)=30". The dress
is in very good condition.

Light As Air - Vintage Aqua
Print Crepe
Dress
This lovely vintage aqua crepe dress dates the the 1940's/1950's and
is as
light as a summer breeze. The fabric is the color of the ocean and
is a light weight "silky" crepe print. The bodice has a "V" neckline
with a wide front collar. Six (6) horizontal pleats accent the top
portion of the bodice. Four black buttons, with rhinestone centers,
form the center front closure. The dress has short, cuffed sleeves
and the bodice ends at the natural waistline with a material belt.
The skirt is nicely detailed with horizontal pleats on each side from
below the waistline through the hips. The dress has a neck label
which reads, "Osgood Dresses, 8514 Size 16." The dress is in very
good condition and measures approximately: bustline=36";
waistline=29; length (shoulders to hemline)=40".

Vintage Turquoise Chiffon
Dress
This pretty vintage turquoise dress has lots of motion! The dress
is sleeveless with a wide boat neckline. The bodice is fitted
through the natural waistline. The upper portion of the bodice is
sheer and the remainder of the dress is lined. The dress has a
center back metal zipper. The skirt is done in three (3) layers of
chiffon and an underlining. Each layer of the skirt ends with a
ruffled hemline. The original belt is missing from the dress;
however it would look great with a silvertone belt accented with
rhinestones! There is a small hole in the underlining of the skirt;
however this cannot be seen and does not detract from the wearability
of the dress. The dress does not have any size information, but does
have a label which reads, "Suzy Perette, N.Y.". The dress measures
approximately: bustline=38"; waistline=30" and length (center back
neckline to hemline)=41". The dress does need cleaning as it has
some spots and some slight underarm discoloration (see Detail Views).

Vintage Patterned Black Chiffon
Dress
This vintage black chiffon dress is decorated with roses. It can be
easily dressed up or down - depending on the occasion. The dress has
a sheer black upper bodice with a rounded neckline. The dress is
sleeveless and the bodice is fitted. The back of the bodice features
a vertical open area through the sheer part of the bodice. Roses
accent the back shoulders. The dress has a metal center back zipper
and a hook/eye closure at the neckline. The skirt has a pleated
waistline and originally had a matching belt (could be replaced with
a narrow solid black belt). The dress has a bit of wimzy with a
sprinkling of roses and green stylized leaves. The dress is fully
lined and in very good wearable condition. The inside neck label
reads, "Suzy". There is no size information, but the dress measures
approximately:
bustline=38"; waistline=30" and length (center back neckline to
hemline)=41".

Vintage Black/White Checked
Suit
If you're looking for a vintage suit with a great vintage look, check this one out! The jacket is unstructured with a slightly raised collar. The center front opening has only a hook/eye closure at the neckline, with the rest of the jacket open. The shoulders are padded and the sleeves are three-quarter length. The sleeves do have a decorative banding at the lower edge. This banding is also incorporated into the jacket. The left side of the jacket front has a horizontal band beginning at the opening and crossing just above the bustline. A vertical band joins the horizontal band and continues to the hemline of the jacket. The veritical banding is accented with seven (7) large black buttons (see Jacket Detail). The jacket has small vertical openings for a belt to thread through; however there is no belt with the jacket. A thin, black belt would be easy to find and add to complete the look. The jacket falls to approximately mid-hip length and is not lined. The matching skirt is slightly a-lined with a side metal zipper closure. There is also a hook/eye at the waistline which needs a bit of reinforcement. The skirt also has matching decorative horizontal and vertical banding and buttons (see Skirt Details). The suit is in very good condition; however it is missing the belt and needs a bit of work at the side opening (hook/eye). The jacket measures approximately: bustline=36", shoulder to shoulder width=15" and length=24 1/2". The skirt measures approximately: waistline=26" and length=33".

Yellow Beaded
Vintage Dress
This yellow beaded vintage dress is a ray of sunshine! It is not
done in
the style of a typical beaded dress. I would guess the vintage is
approximately the 60's or 70's. The dress has an overlay of yellow
lace. It is fully lined and heavy. The dress has a center front
closure with faux buttons (the opening has snaps on the inside of the
placket). The buttons are domed and covered with silvertone beads.
The turn-down collar is also covered with silvertone beads. Swirls
of goldtone beads and silvertone beads are heavily scattered
throughout the dress. Faux pearls are also sewn throughout the
dress. The sleeves are long and unlined. The cuffs are done in
silvertone beads and accented with a button which matches the front
of the dress. There are no labels in the dress and it may have been
handmade. The dress is in very good condition. It is missing a few
beads - not noticeable due to the quanity of beads intacted - and
there is some minor staining to the lining (light blue stain). This
does not show through the dress. The dress fits nicely on the dress
form which measures: bustline=37"; shoulder to shoulder=16";
waistline=30"; hips=39"; length (shoulder to hemline)=42 1/2".

1960's Daisy Print Cotton
Vintage Sheath
If there's one good reason to look forward to summer, it's to show a
little leg. Forget the stockings, now is the time to shorten the
skirt and put on the sandals. From Vera this polished cotton vintage
sheath
is the perfect item to wear while lounging all afternoon at your
favorite outdoor café. Big, bold stylized daisies against a simple
black background, sleeveless, round neckline with a slightly empire
bodice combine to create the ideal summer dress. We like this one
with black patient platform sandals and lemon rimless aviators.
Flawless condition and fully lined. The dress has the "Vera" marking
on the lower front portion of the skirt and the label reads, "Vera,
All Cotton, Drip-Dry." The dress looks as if it has never been worn.
Tag reads size 14 and dress measures: bustline=38"; waistline=28";
hips=39" and length=36 1/2".

Vintage 1960's Black Polka Dot
Dress
This 1960's vintage dress will keep you cool in the summer, yet you
will look like you belong in a fashion magazine! The black and white
polka dot dress looks like it may be homemade. The dress has a
arounded neckline with a center front "V" opening. The dress is
sleeveless with a center back zipper closure. The polka dot pattern
resembles flowers - actually, they look a bit like daisies. The
pattern is black on black and the center of each flower is white.
The dress continues the floral motif with the white floral trim
around the hemline. The dress is in good condition and very
wearable. The dress measures approximately: bustline=40";
waistline=35" and length (neckline to hemline)=41".
